ANCID - The Australian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage is proud to have been selected by ICID to host the 2nd Asian Regional Conference.

ANCID has been a member of ICID since 1952.

ANCID has a broad based membership covering irrigation, water supply utilities, government departments, educational and research and development institutions, consultants, contractors and individuals.

ANCID is managed by a 12 member elected Executive Committee that prepares an annual business plan and has a governing constitution.

ANCID conducts the peak annual irrigation conference in Australia to address and debate critical industry issues. It also arranges technical workshops to cover specific issues and manages a number of research and development projects, it also produces an annual benchmarking report for irrigation water providers.

ICID CIID - The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) was established on 24 June, 1950 as a Scientific, Technical and Voluntary Not-for-profit Non-Governmental International Organization (NGO) with headquarters in New Delhi, India.

The Commission is dedicated to enhancing the worldwide supply of food and fibre for all people by improving water and land management and the productivity of irrigated and drained lands through appropriate management of water, environment and application of irrigation, drainage and flood management techniques.
