Shopping
There’s nothing like holiday shopping. Time to browse,
a casual stroll to the next most likely prospect, Echuca-Moama’s
relaxed lifestyle is conducive to holiday shopping. High Street
and Hare Street are the prime shopping precincts.
Hare Street is the Central Business District. Here Carters
Department Store dominates. It offers an extensive product
range and is comparable in every way to city stores in its
category. There are smaller stores galore, each with their
own individuality, offering excellent value and variety.
High Street, located near the Port, has a different character.
Its markets, art galleries and boutique stores are popular
‘shop-overs’ for souvenirs and gift purchases.
Most shopped for articles include Australian made clothing,
creative red gum pieces, artwork and jewellery. Popular shopper
stops are Penhaligon’s for antique reproduction jewellery,
Patina Gallery for the much prized red gum creations and hand
made clothing accessories.
Echuca-Moama will delight you with its charm, variety and
quality shopping standards.
