Pera Wells graduated from Melbourne University in 1970. She has enjoyed various careers - as a diplomat, executive director, writer and consultant.

In her current position as Deputy Secretary-General of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and Director of the New York office, she is actively involved in a wide range of networks that are shaping relationships between the emerging global civil society and the United Nations.
