Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee

Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, former Minister of Commerce of Thailand, is Chairman of Seranee Holdings Co., Ltd, advisor to Deputy P.M. on Economic Affairs; President of Schiller-Stamford International College; Board Member and Council of Trustees of Thailand Development Research Institute; Board Advisor of Industrial Finance Corporation of Thailand (IFCT); Vice Chairman of PBEC and a lecturer of Institutes and Universities.

His past positions include Thailand Senator and Chairman of General Finance & Securities Plc., advisor to several Prime Ministers, and Thailand's Representative of APEC/EPG.

He received Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins and was Dean of Thammasat University, Economics Faculty; a consultant to the World Bank, ADB, UN-ESCAP, and an executive of IFCT.
